·     10/19/2008: The B-36 is the next project, and is underway. The T-28 was just going to take too long to be next. The summer is coming to a close and the buggies are put up. Hunter is doing great drumming and Emma is just a little fire cracker. Work has not slowed down at all but that is great with the world events that are trashing our economy and all. Melinda and Emma are doing everything under the sun, drama (acting classes), gymnastics, and more, just can't remember. Hunter is a drummer and a junior Buddhist (at least that what he says).

·      7/2/2008: Well, this update is a small one, Hunter and I have made 2 music video's of him playing some Genesis song's. The 650 has the Weber and new homemade performance exhaust installed. Emma has her new tires on her buggy, what a pain in the butt it was to get those on. No aviation work as I am working and traveling to much. Order some really cool LED lights (16 of them) for Hunter's drum room. My pals (Tobin and Bill) at Barbizon hooked me up with a great rig of lights. My house is not big enough for all of our junk, may have to get a bigger one. Mel and I are trying to figure out what to do, get a bigger house, or sell one of the kids.

·      6/1/8/2008: Well, this update is late again, Posted Hunter playing some Genesis, it is really cool seeing my son play music that I saw live in 1984. Emma is having a great summer at the buggy park driving her buggy. Hunter wrecked the SRS 250, but a weld here and there and it will be up and running again. Melinda also has grown to like the SRS250, she drove her and I thru a huge pit full of water just to soak me. The DCOE Webber carb I installed on the 650 is close to being jetted properly but I still has a flat spot off idle. This summer has been very busy and I am traveling a ton, I have over 48,000 miles traveled in the USA alone. No much aviation stuff this last few months, but I did find a atlas nuke site for sale, silo and all, the government is still selling off the old nuke silo's, missiles not included.

·       5/13/2008: Atwood Aviation's is slowly becoming a lot more than planes and rockets. The 1919 is 99.5% complete, but is being put in storage until the weather turns cold and I have to stay in and build planes. The fact is I am having much more fun with my family and buggies then my planes. The planes has always been more of a Damon thing than a family thing. With all of the traveling and my work schedule being very demanding and what little actually family time I have is much better spent with the family. And if I can get the family together while getting dirty and playing with horse power, what could be better? Going camping with the family and 3 buggies is a blast. Me and Mel in the 650, Hunter in the 250, and Emma with her 70.

·       3/23/2008: Atwood Aviation's news is both hobby and professional. The 1919 is going to have all of the flying wires structurally tested soon. The radio equipment will also be cycled to make sure all the wiring is solid, then vibration testing will start. The T-28 drawings are 99.9 except for the Vertical stabilizer. On the professional side of things, I attended the USITT conference in Houston and hooked up with a lot of great designers and dealers. I was able to have dinner with a bunch of great consultants. If you are an A&E firm, or owner and need the best in theatre consultants that is spot on look at one of these great companies: Jones & Phillips, Shuler Shook, David Weiss, Westlake-Reed-Leskosky and Landry & Bogan, (not in any particular order) these are great people with great teams.

·         3/12/2008: Atwood Aviation's New website is up and with its own domain name. Lots of great things have been happening, I have really figured out this website stuff. Hunter is actually playing Genesis Abacab on the drums and he Rocks! Emma loves her buggy, she drives it like she is on the last lap of a F-1 race. Mel is working for me again and keeps the books balanced. The 1919 is going to be flying soon (next month or two), and the T-28 CAD drawings are 95% complete. The T-28 part (fuselage bulkheads, and wing ribs) construction will start early summer. The main gear is going to be started in June-July. My real job is going at 10,000mph and I am having a blast. It is really great working for a company that has a plan.

·         3/25/2007: Been to long since my last update, here is why, Hunter's drum room took a lot longer than planned, it has 67 sheet of drywall on it to block most of the sound from entering the house, this way he can play his drums and not blow our ears out. The drum room is big enough for his band. The room is 12'X21'. Another reason for my delays in my aircraft designs is my new job, I have been with them since Nov. 1st and I have been working a bunch, but I am doing everything I can to get my 1919 in the air this summer.  Well that's it, and one more thing, there are now over 100+ consultants, architects, engineers, pilots (including one of my best pals that is a captain on a AirTran 717), and RC Pilots getting my monthly updates, if you want to be on my e-mail update list, just fire me an e-mail.

·         12/10/2006: Well nothings been getting done on the 1919 project, Damon's been working to much. Damon did get to fly a T-6 Texan in Kissimmee, Fl. Hunter is doing very well in his drum lessons, Emma wants to go up in a plane with daddy (soon my little girl), and Mel is just getting ready for the holiday. That's it, and have great holiday season, and say a prayer for our gals and guys over sea's that can't be with their loved ones this holiday season.

·         10/26/2006: Sorry for being so long with this update. The T-28 is being pushed back until summer 2008. The 1919 project is going slow, and I have decided to stitch all of the fabric on the bird like they did in the 20's. Once I start my new job I am sure thing will get even more slower on the 1919 project. It's funny that in all of the places I have worked that one of them (not so long ago) was a place that FUN goes to Die.

·         8/29/2006 Vintage 1919 covering ordered and final wood sealing under way. 1919 test flying should begin at the end of the flying season, around 1st of October. Work going slowly with my job being in overload. T-28D construction to start in December 2006.

·         8/23/2006 The T-28 project will have its 3-D drawings finished by the end of September with the CAD drawings following by late November, wood parts cutting should start in mid December.

·         8/22/2006: Work is going slow on the 1919 as my work is taking about 99% of my life. Good news is the redesign of the Rudder is complete. The 1919 is going to have to be flown under the AMA experimental regulations as it over the 55 pound rule. At this time it looks to be around 65 pounds wet. The future project of the T-28 looks to be our next project once the 1919 is finished and the test flights complete.

·         8/20/2006: 1919 Electrical System (radio) is done. Need to do some final sanding and covering this bird will commence.

·         8/17/2006: Vintage 1919 tail had to be redesigned poor stalls in the simulator, she wants to spin and takes to long to recover, set back of 2 weeks.

·         8/15/2006: To all my flying pals, I am working my rear end off and see no end in sight, so I may be a little late on some flying dates. The Vintage 1919 should still be in the air in September.

·         8/13/2006: Atwood Aviation's new website opens (old website that was up since 2000 needed a face-lift).
